Leo Kotke was/is a fantastic 12 String Guitar Insturmentalist that I've followed for over 40 years now (he's still kicking). What I didn't know until lately is that he used to be a great blues singer as well. This song, If Mama Knew, is on one of his earliest albums, 12 String Blues. Enjoy:

Here’s my contribution this week. I forgot how great this song is!
I'm sad to say this may be the Clapton song I'm least familiar with. But it is great! Thanks for this great contribution!
BUT THAT SOLO AT 4:29. WOOOOOOOO!!
I know man. I made a real “stank face” when that guitar solo started hahaha it’s just too good!
Me too! hahaha

Great tune Cork. Thanks for sharing. And kudos to you for stumping Spotify. Can't find this song anywhere. But I've added it to the YouTube playlist!
You can find the whole album on Youtube.
“Preachin’ Blues” by Son House. I can just listen to House on repeat.
Man that was excellent. I hadn’t heard that before. Definitely need more Son House in my life.
Great singer and the best living electric blues guitarist.

Absolutely stellar! Joe Bonamassa is a world wonder of sorts. The sheer amount of music he releases is astounding. And most of it is phenomenal.
And yes, he’s with a wonderful singer here. An overall great song. Thanks for sharing!
I don’t go to many concerts nowadays, but I’ve seen Joe 3 times and the amazing thing is he’s better live than on studio recordings.
I’m going to have to try to catch him live! I’ve seen some DVDs but I know it will be even better in person.
Also, are you related to Brady Putzke of The Write Books?
Guilty. I’m his dad. You probably know this already, but Jimmy Barnes’ daughter, Mahalia, is one Joe B.’s backup singers.
I did not know that! Interesting! And glad to know you sir. I enjoy Brady’s work and am looking forward to reading yours as well.
Thanks for your great Thanksgiving hints!
Favorite blues song is Nina Simone's Backlash Blues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tllTDwQKV8
Didn't know you were in a band. Me too!
Today I'm grateful for the beautiful sunny cool day among many other blessings.
You’re welcome haha. I need the reminders for myself. What instrument do you play?
Excellent song! You can really hear the hurt in her voice!
And a great thing to be thankful for! I’m grateful for the rain we got here in Georgia last night. We’d gone too long without rain.
Acoustic guitar mostly. I'm in Texas. Isn't Nina Simone great? Here's another: https://youtu.be/f5WfZS_eb80
Thank you!
Derek, here’s one I ran across in an old blues play list of mine today. Good blues worship.

Oh that was really cool! Thanks for digging for that one Alan.
JJ Cale, who wrote the song, does a better blues version of Cocaine.

Thanks for getting in on the action and a Happy Thanksgiving to you. I"ve added JJ Cale's original to both the Spotify and YouTube playlists.
You can’t omit the fantastic guitar Slim, with a 20 year old Ray Charles in the funeral everything younger Jimi Hendrix peek and see the blinds.
The things I used to do.
Something to remember you by.
Suffering Mind
I done got over it.
Feel free to share any of his songs tomorrow! The next Blue Wednesday post will drop in the morning. Looking forward to whatever you contribute.
