Excellent stuff man! I agree wholeheartedly! Why not both?!?

Also, I have my contribution for this week. When The Sun Goes Down- Gary Clark Jr.

I was originally going to go with the more obvious choice from the greatest AMERICAN rock and roll band of the 60's, but this song hit just right as I was listening to it this morning:

Here's my contribution! I feel like I'm playing it safe on the "Is it Blues?" question, but perhaps I'll branch out in the future.

(Also, on an unrelated note, I just realize I'm not subscribed to your newsletter — I'll be remedying that shortly!)

OK, this might be a new one for you: Mary Spender's version of Crossroads. Her Mary Spender Trio videos are great fun.

Whoever added "Sweet Home Chicago" by The Blues Brothers to the playlist is my new best friend.

Have you watched "Across the Universe"? The version of "Oh! Darling" in that movie is full of raw emotion, it's a great scene in the movie IMO.

Once upon a time, The Rolling Stones were playing in my hometown and someone gave me tickets to go see them and I'm glad I did. It was a great show. We're talking circa 2004 and they sounded amazing.

Beatles over the Stones any day! I’m thinking that may be the more popular response from most women?? 🤔

¿Por qué no los dos? INDEED! Thank you. I'm a devoted Beatlemaniac, but I love the Stones, too.

How great is Oh Darling?! How masterful is Abbey Road?! Oh, it hurts my heart it's so good. I'll add a couple blues-esque songs from these guys to the roster: Beatles' Revolution 1, Stones' Dead Flowers.

HOW DID I NOT THINK OF REVOLUTION!! Definitely a great bluesy tune! And I’ll have to look up Dead Flowers. That’s a new one for me.

Thanks for jumping in!
